Staff Review Of Cirque du Soleil - Mystere

Treasure Island in Las Vegas brings Cirque du Soleil – Mystere to the stage for a show that is classic Cirque du Soleil. Combining the powerful athleticism, high energy acrobatics, and inspiring imagery that has become the company’s hallmark, Mystere has been deemed a theatrical “flower in the desert” and has thrilled generations of audiences with its blend of whimsy, drama, and the unimaginable brought to life on stage.

Get there early so you do not miss the preshow that will really get you laughing and ready for Mystere. An old man pretending to be an usher goes up to people takes their tickets and leads them to their seats. Unfortunately, he forgets where they are seated, so he leads the unwitting people all around the auditorium as a spotlight follows them stumbling over already seated people. Finally, in frustration, the old man tosses the tickets in the air and leaves the people to fend for themselves.

You do not want to be sitting too close to the stage for Cirque du Soleil – Mystere because there is so much going on. The only drawback is that you never know where to look. Something will catch your eye at center stage, while there is something else going on at the left or right side.

Tickets prices for Mystere range from $60 up to $109 depending on how close or far away you wish to sit. The show performs Saturday through Wednesday at both 7:00 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. Popcorn and drinks are available to purchase before the show, and you can bring these treats into the theater, but beware of the clown helping you by carrying your popcorn, unless you want to be a part of his act. He just might throw it into the air and onto other audience members to help get everyone into a positive and fun state of mind! Don’t worry, you will be compensated.
