Las Vegas isn’t traditionally known as the best vacation spot for children, depending on where families stay and what they plan to do while in town. However, there are certain places that make a point to ensure the kiddos have just as good a time as the adults. A lot of hotel’s offer babysitting, but true childhood entertainment is not nearly so common. Below is a list of the best kid friendly hotels in Vegas, with fun family things to do inside and nearby.

Circus Circus Hotel and Casino – On the Strip

What could be more appealing to children of all ages than a circus? The Circus Circus Hotel and Casino has loads of entertainment the kids will just love, including a new 10-minute circus act every half hour – free of charge. You won’t have any problem getting a large enough room to suit everyone comfortably, and the hotel’s Adventure Tours Desk will help you plan out all sorts of things to do with the kiddos that are age appropriate and fun for the whole family. Adventure Dome Theme Park is right outside as well.

Santa Fe Station Hotel & Casino – Off the Strip

It may not be conveniently located near the Strip or downtown, but when visitors are bringing the kids, an off the Strip hotel might just be the perfect idea anyway. Families would be hard pressed to find a more ideal destination for a children-oriented vacation than Santa Fe Station. The hotel caters to families especially, providing a number of activities to keep everyone entertained including a 60-lane bowling alley, 16-screen movie theatre and Kids Quest. Kids Quest is a massive area designed to suit ages 6 months to 12 years, offering an indoor playground, arcade (non-violent game sonly), kids karaoke with stage, Tiny Tots room, an arts and crafts area and nutritious meals. Orleans Hotel & Casino – Closet to the Strip

Orleans Hotel and Casino, less than a five minute drive west of the Strip on Tropicana Ave, is a very kid friendly hotel with plenty of thrills for the parents, the kiddos, or the whole family combined. Your young ones will love Kids Tyme, a massive, colorful and diligently supervised play area designed just for ages 3-12. Orleans Hotel also offers entertainment that the whole family will enjoy, including the Time Out Arcade with all of the latest video games, a 70-lane bowling alley and 18-screen movie theater, all on site.

If you’re young at heart, grab the kiddos and book a stay at the Excalibur Hotel and Casino right on the Strip. The rooms, dining and nearby attractions are all great for the family, but chances are you’ll be spending most of your time in the Fun Dungeon! Excalibur’s incredibly famous arcade and play area may be designed for kids, but most adults can’t seem to drag themselves away from the multitude of exciting things to do. It is packed with a plethora of arcades, new and old, and presents a series of 4D Rides including the newest SpongeBob Squarepants 4D FX Ride (complete with bubbles!), along with Happy Feet and the Extreme Log Ride. When you get hungry, you can fuel up at the Dairy Queen within Excalibur, conveniently located near the Fun Dungeon.

New York New York – On the Strip

Not many would expect to find such a kid friendly hotel located right on the Las Vegas Strip, but New York New York takes the cake. Children instantly fall in love with the hotel’s wrap-around roller coaster that takes off right from the lobby and travels more than 65 mph around the exterior of the building. The Coney Island Emporium is on the Arcade level of the hotel, one of the largest in Vegas, presenting a vast selection of traditional arcades, simulators and other activities that will keep the kiddos infinitely entertained. Families will appreciate that dining options include a lot more than fancy steaks, with a Ben & Jerry’s ice cream shop, Sirrico’s Pizza and other kid friendly eateries available on-site.
