Best Sushi In Vegas
Sushi restaurants come a dime a dozen in a tourist haven like this one, which could mean a lot of trial and error before you find the best sushi in Vegas. Going by actual visitor appraisals, personal experiences and the all-important price tag, the best sushi houses in Vegas are detailed below.
Maru
From downtown Las Vegas, head east on US-95 N for about 15 minutes and make a bee-line for 2025 Village Center Circle, near TPC Summerlin. Here you will find Maru, a hidden gem among the best sushi bars in Vegas. Its off-the-strip location has made this restaurant one of the best kept secrets in the city, but if you don’t mind detouring from the heart of Vegas for a bit (there is plenty to do in TPC, btw), you will certainly appreciate the awesome atmosphere, unparalleled cuisine and top-notch service at Maru. The buffet is under $30, around $20 for the lunch special, but check out their monthly specials for more great pricing.
RA Sushi
RA Sushi boasts that only one thing is guaranteed in Vegas; “a great time at RA Sushi”. It’s kind of hard to argue with that statement when hundreds of sushi connoisseurs are raving about it. Located right on the Strip at 3200 Las Vegas Blvd. (inside Fashion Show Mall), the décor may not be the most elaborate in the city, but RA Sushi sure knows how to prepare the best sushi, sashimi and other Asian specialties. You won’t faint when the bill comes either.
Yama Sushi
Less than two miles east of the Strip at 1350 E. Flamingo Rd, Yama Sushi’s chefs are stirring things up nightly to bestow upon their guests an incredible medley of genuine Japanese cuisine. The atmosphere is very casual and relaxed, but it does get pretty crowded around lunch time. If you want the best sushi in Vegas, but don’t want to leave an arm and a leg behind, Yama Sushi is the place. Comparatively speaking, the buffet prices are excellent, especially during the lunch special (11am-3pm).
Todai
Todai is an excellent Asian and Japanese sushi bar located right on the Strip within the Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino. The selection of seafood is immense and the freshness is apparent from the very first bite. Unless you already know exactly what you want, the buffet is highly recommended, but it isn’t cheap by any means. Prepare to pay more than $30 per person.
Sushi Mon
If you’re staying on the Strip or in downtown Vegas, Sushi Mon is a bit out of the way, but oh, is the cuisine ever worth the effort! Sushi Mon is located at 9770 S. Maryland Parkway, about a 15-20 minute drive down the interstate from the Strip. Their philosophy is that anyone can love sushi, so long as the restaurant truly caters to each and every individual. That’s exactly what Sushi Mon is all about, and it’s evident in the consistently loyal patrons who praise the food and service. Menu prices change seasonally, reservations recommended but not necessary.
